Science fiction has long been a staple of great imagination, but elave science fact to the professionals

The smartest guy in the world, physicist Stephen Hawking, has made a fairly bold statement regarding extraterrestrial life in the universe. He pretty much said we should plan on being invaded, colonized, and in general not treated very well.

In a statement that has pretty much grabbed the world’s attention in an iron grip, Stephen Hawking has suggested that an alien invasion of earth is not only possible, but probable. To his mathematical mind, which rivals many computers, he says it’s only a matter of time before it happens, and when it does it probably won’t be very pretty.

Hawking said, «If aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America, which didn’t turn out well for the Native Americans.» Pretty stark words from one of the most respected minds in the world, and in this or any other time.

What I’d expect from Hawking’s comments is a surge in alien interest and all things science fiction. This bodes well for subscribers of DIRECTV. Think about it. What plays better than a great sci-fi movie in high definition? We love to think about alien invasion, and I’d put my last dollar on a surge in all things sci-fi on DIRECTV!
