Burn notice: spies with consciences

Burn Notice: Spies With Consciences

One Of The Best Shows On The USA Network Is «Burn Notice» (Created By Matt Nix). This Article Tells You Why.

I Grew Up On Spy, Mob, And War Movies. Those Were Different Days. The Actors And Actresses Were Incredible And The Story Lines Were Fantastic. As Times Changed, The «Thrill» Of Movies Seemed To Be Replaced By «Mini Me» Movies (I’m Not Going To Explain My Use Of That Descriptive).

Time Is Every Thing For Me. I Seldom Give The Entertainment World An Ear Or Eyes. The Production Has Got To Be Capable Of «Attention Holding». The USA Network Strives On «Characters» And Creative Story Lines. There’s No Other Network Like It.

I’ve Watched «Burn Notice» In The Past. The Recent Episodes Have Me Watching Weekly. This Is Definitely Out Of My Character. Allow Me To Explain Why «Burn Notice» Is Becoming A Show Favorite.

Michael Weston (Played By Jeffrey Donovan) Is A Spy Who Was «Burned» By His Agency. «Burned» Is Similar To Being «Fired» From A Job. The Difference Is That The Words «Fire» And «Termination» Are Literal. A «Burned» Spy Is A Walking «Dead» Person. Michael Westen Is «On The Run» And Has No Choice But To Take «Side» Jobs.

That’s Where Sam Axe (Played By Bruce Campbell-A Favorite Of Mine) Comes In. «Sam» Is An Informant Who Ratted Michael Weston Out. Sam Always Has «Lame Brain» Jobs For Michael. Sam Axe Reminds Me Of «Angel». «Angel» Was A «Friend» Of Jim Rockford. I’m Telling My Age. Most Won’t Know Anything About «The Rockford Files». Some How Michael And Westen Became Friends. The Two Often Argue. I Go Through The Same «Drama» With My Friends.

Then There’s Fiona (Played By Gabrielle Anwar). She’s A Tough «Psycho Girl». Every Guy Loves A Psycho Girl. Yea, We Get All «Mad» And «Upset» When Dealing With Them. But You Have To Respect That «Ride Or Die Psycho Chick». Fiona Has No Fear And Loves To Come In With A Boom. That’s One Of The Many Reasons Why She And Michael Can’t Solidify Their Love.

A New Comer On The Show Is «Jesse» Played By Coby Bell. Jesse Is A «Ready For Action» Hot Head Who Impresses Fiona But Pisses Off Sam And Michael.

So What Is It About «Burn Notice» That Has My Full Attention?

In The 1980’s We Had Glen Larson. Glen Larson Gave Us Great Characters, Creative Story Lines, Comedy, And Plenty Of Action.

«Burn Notice» Follows This Successful Tradition.

Michael Westen Is The Perfect Spy. James Bond, Michael Knight And MacGyver Rely On Tools. Westen Relies On His «Cold» Spy Life Experience And Personal «Code Of Honor».

Michael, Sam, And Fiona Have The Same Problems We Do. They’re So Much Like Us. They Enjoy The Beers And Beach Bars. They Argue. They Make Fun Of Each Other. They Struggle With «Love Me, Love Me Not» Situations. Fiona Is Infatuated With «All Knowing» Coby. You Can Tell That Michael Is Jealous (But Doesn’t Want To Show It). The Competition Between Michael And Coby Keeps You Watching The Show. Matt Nix Can Do Much With This Situation And These Three Characters.

There’s One Main Reason Why I Watch «Burn Notice».

Michael Westen Had To Stop This «Psycho» Killer. The Guy Was Way Past Diabolical. As The Police Carried The Psycho Away, He Told Michael That «We Are Just Alike». Michael Was Then Carted Away To Jail. He Was Then Taken From Incarceration To A Secret «Spy» Location.

Michael Eventually Returned Home. He Lives With His Mother. Madeline Weston Is Played By Sharon Gless. Michael Attempted To Explain Things To His Mother. Michael Was Very Sad. He Told His Mother What The Psycho Predicted. Michael’s Mother Hugged Him And Reminded Him That He Was Nothing Like That Psycho Killer.

This Sigmund Freud Moment Helped Us Understand Why Michael Westen Survived The Cold Spy Life. It’s The Training Of His Parents That Sustains Him. Peter Parker Had Uncle Ben And Aunt Mae. Michael Westen Has His Parent’s Training.

«Burn Notice» Gives Viewers A Group Of Normal People Who Do Above Normal Things. The Most Notable Thing About These People Is That They Care.
